Tuesday, August 21, 2018 – New York City, NY – Today, Kurmi Software reached out to its partners after Cisco announced the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for Cisco Unified Communications Domain Manager (CUCDM).
In its August 14th, 2018 press release, Cisco said CUCDM sales would be ending in February of 2019. Cisco no longer includes CUCDM in its HCS bundles, which is the continuation of Cisco’s strategy with HCS Open Provisioning Architecture (OPA) to promote an independent and alternative Domain manager.
As the first Cisco HCS-certified product, Kurmi Service Provider Suite is the only domain manager for UCaaS infrastructures that automates the entire end-customer life cycle. Easy to use, with a friendly UX design, Kurmi Service Provider Suite can quickly create and deploy new communications services, accelerate customer onboarding, and run operations better and faster on Cisco HCS.
Thibault Felgeres, CEO of Kurmi Software, comments, “The end-of-sale of CUCDM offers HCS partners a real opportunity to optimize their process, increase their customer satisfaction, and stand out from competitors with Kurmi. In addition, we integrated the YarnLab solution, so Cisco HCS partners can easily migrate existing CUCDM end-customers to Kurmi Domain Manager. With YarnLab’s Wrangler, migration is fully automated, using data extracted from both CUCDM and CUCM, flexible hierarchy mapping to Kurmi, and test automation with Testmate.”
The Kurmi transition hinges on the deep, broad experience Kurmi has amassed in 10 years of developing Enterprise Communication management software. Kurmi has had more than 2.5 million end users worldwide and has been providing HCS partners with their domain manager platform since 2011.
“Easily moving to Kurmi Service Provider Suite means getting more capabilities and flexibility than CUCDM : better performance to support more than 1 million end users with one single Kurmi platform, advanced release management allowing multiple releases, dial plans, workspaces to support different requirements from different customers, endless customization capabilities allowing Cisco HCS Partners to implement their best practices and to differentiate from competition, delegation of MACDs to end customers to reduce their operations costs and improve customer satisfaction, and many more…” confirms Pascal Moindrot, COO & North America MD.
As a regular partner to Cisco HCS Summits, Kurmi Software will take part in the next one at Melbourne, Australia (week of September 3rd) and at Lisbon, Portugal (week of September 24th). Let’s meet there to share your CUCDM migration project.
